The flame of the CPDM campaign burned bright across the East Region as Prime Minister, Head of Government, Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute, embarked on a major political tour in the East region to carry the message of President–Candidate Paul Biya.
His journey began in Abong-Mbang, continued through Messamena, and reached its climax in Bertoua, where a grand rally united thousands of militants and supporters in a wave of emotion, pride, and conviction.
In Bertoua, the “City of the Rising Sun,” the Prime Minister — representing the President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul Biya, National President of the CPDM — delivered a strong and inspiring message filled with faith in the future and confidence in the people of the East.
Speaking before a jubilant crowd, Chief Dr Dion Ngute praised the region’s unwavering loyalty to the ideals of peace, unity, and progress.
“President Paul Biya knows your loyalty and your constant fidelity,” he affirmed. “He understands your deep attachment to his vision for Cameroon — a vision of stability, prosperity, and national cohesion. The East has always stood by him, and he counts on you once again. Here, illusion peddlers have no place; political tourists have no future in this land of steadfast conviction.”
The rally was more than a campaign event — it was a renewal of faith. Once again, the East Region reaffirmed its pact of trust and gratitude with President Paul Biya, a bond built on decades of shared progress and mutual respect.
Chief Dr Dion Ngute’s message also carried tangible promises for the region’s future, grounded in the President’s development vision for his next mandate. The East Region, he emphasized, will be at the heart of a new wave of initiatives focused on three main pillars:
Socio-professional integration and youth employment
Vocational training and skills development
Infrastructure and essential services
“New vocational training centers will be created in the East Region,” the Prime Minister announced. “Special emphasis will be placed on mining-related skills, so that the youth of the East can become direct actors in the exploitation of their own natural resources. At the same time, programs to support youth and women’s entrepreneurship will be strengthened, as they are the true drivers of inclusive growth.”
He also underlined the government’s commitment to improving access to water and energy, essential pillars for local development. Large-scale projects are already under way or planned in Bétaré-Oya, Garoua-Boulaï, Ndokayo, Nguelemendouka, Doumé, Yokadouma, and several other localities.
From Abong-Mbang to Bertoua, the message was the same: renewed confidence in the vision of President Paul Biya. The East stands united, determined, and ready to deliver a resounding 100% victory on October 12.
The Bertoua mega meeting was not just a show of force — it was the reflection of a people’s gratitude, faith, and steadfast commitment. The East Region has spoken loud and clear:
With Paul Biya, the future is secure. With Paul Biya, Cameroon moves forward.
