Yaoundé, September 27, 2025.
Election fever swept across Cameroon's ten regions this weekend with the official launch of the presidential campaign of the Cameroon People's Democratic Movement (CPDM). From south to north, east to coast, crowds gathered in stadiums, public squares, and party headquarters to cheer one name: Paul Biya.
Everywhere, the mobilization was massive. In Douala, the Bonanjo Party House was stormed by thousands of activists and supporters dressed in the colors of the RDPC. In Ebolowa, the Place des Fêtes hosted a “mega-rally” where traditional, religious, and administrative authorities took the floor to express their support for the party's candidate. In the west, young people stood out for their energy and slogans, promising a massive vote on October 12. In the east, the emphasis was on discipline and ethics, with strong calls against fraud, tribalism, and online hate.
Beyond the festive atmosphere of songs, dances, and slogans, the speeches revealed a clear strategy. Regional and departmental campaign committees, led by prominent political figures, emphasized close contact with the electorate, organizational rigor, and unwavering loyalty to the party's national president. Powerful slogans such as “Plein d'Œuf” (total mobilization) and “Zero Error” (zero abstentions, zero invalid ballots, zero votes for the opposition) were repeated, reflecting the CPDM's determination to win a clear and decisive victory.
Another striking feature of these regional launches was their inclusive nature: women were highlighted as essential pillars of the electoral dynamic, and young people were presented as the driving force behind the mobilization. Allied parties, such as the PADDEC, also lent their support in certain regions, reinforcing the idea of a broad coalition around Paul Biya.
Thus, from north to south, from west to east, one observation stands out: Cameroon's ten regions have united behind candidate Paul Biya. The goal is clear and shared: to offer him a resounding and indisputable victory on the evening of October 12, 2025.
