Yesterday, Cameroonians living in the diaspora proudly exercised their civic duty in the presidential election, demonstrating once again their unwavering commitment to the nation’s democratic journey. From Canada to the United States and Brazil, polling stations set up within the Cameroonian diplomatic missions welcomed hundreds of voters united by one purpose — to shape the future of their beloved homeland.
Present among the first voters, Mrs. Judith Yah Achidi Achu, Chair of the CPDM Campaign Commission for the Americas, set the tone through her strong sense of civic duty, thereby encouraging massive and exemplary participation within the Cameroonian community.
This strong participation reflects the enduring connection between the diaspora and the homeland — a bond that transcends borders and speaks to the collective will of Cameroonians everywhere to build a stable, prosperous, and united nation.
The voting process officially came to an end yesterday, marking a significant moment of civic expression for the diaspora. According to the electoral code, the final results are expected to be announced within fifteen days.
